It is the goal of Yancey Parks and Recreation to provide quality programming to all the citizens of the community.
We believe programs should be enjoyable, fun, safe, fulfilling, and rewarding. Recreational opportunities should emphasize participation for enjoyment, self-understanding, self-discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The primary purpose of programs is for youth and adults to reach their full potential through complete participation in recreational activities.
Yancey County Parks and Recreation strives to prepare youth for adulthood and to enhance the overall quality of life for all Yancey County Citizens.
