The Finance Office provides a wide range of services including accounts payable, accounts receivable, grant fund management, fixed assets, purchasing, and budget maintenance. Additionally, the Finance Office provides assistance to an independent auditor during the required annual audit of the County’s finances.
Overseeing and managing the financial functions for all Yancey County departments is the main priority for the Finance Office. Additionally, the Finance Office is charged with the implementation of personnel policies and procedures for all county employees.
